Sony announce Vivaz Pro

Not content with offering a ‘pro’ version of the Xperia X10 Mini handset, Sony Ericsson has also announced a Pro offering of the HD-equipped Vivaz smartphone.

Much like the Mini Pro, the Vivaz Pro adds a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to its sibling’s design, adding a little amount of thickness and weight, but adding, well, a keyboard.

Strangely, the Vivaz Pro only has a 5.1 megapixel camera compared to the 8.1mp found in the standard Vivaz, which isn’t very ‘pro’ in my books. However the rest of the phone’s features, including the ‘human curvature’ design (translation: it’s curvy) and the 720Mhz Snapdragon processor, are all present and correct.

The Vivaz is scheduled for release next month in the UK and the Vivaz Pro should follow in the summer.
