European and American mobile differences under the microscope

You say ‘football’, I say ‘a bunch of padded-up blokes running around to no discernible purpose’. Let’s call the whole thing off! Or not. Sorry to be flippant, there are plenty of similarities between the US and Europe, including our musical tastes, eating habits, and our bafflement at how Linsday Lohan continues to hold down a lucrative acting career.

Anyway, Mobile Opportunity has an interesting (and very long) post on the differences between Americans and Europeans in terms of mobile phone usage and culture.

I’m not sure the quote about “In 2020 the world is one big video screen, one big video camera, one big mobile phone” quite reflects the views of those of us Europeans who aren’t working for futuristic Dutch think-tanks, mind…
