Last week Kodak announced the death of compact digital cameras and today Samsung hammered another nail into the coffin with the launch of the world’s first 10 megapixel camera phone.
More than a mere megapixel monster, the SCH-B600 includes a 3x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom, auto focus and flash unit along with on-phone editing features; everything in short that you’d expect to find on a standalone compact.
All of which makes it even more annoying that the handset, which was first revealed back in March at CEBIT, is only currently available to the Korean market. Let’s hope we’ll be able to snap it up on these shores soon.
