It shouldn’t really come as a surprise to those who are interested in mobile phones and things to do with them that, with the buzz of citizen journalism currently surrounding any mobile phone capable of taking a video or photo, that citizens where the news happens are becoming more and more involved in news gathering.
Iraq in particular is seeing a massive increase in the amount of news footage captured by mobiles, be it the latest and unfortunate roadside bombing or stories of hope such as babies being born amid the ruins of a war torn country. Of course, whether people want to watch it or not is another matter all together.
