Toshiba phone bug affects Japan

A5523TIt’s not only your expensive game consoles that need firmware updates to iron out creases in the system. Ahem. No, Japan’s KDDI and Toshiba today also confirmed that one of their recent phones, the otherwise-lovely A5523T (pictured here), was riddled with a bug that would kill the handset’s key input function (arguably its most useful function) whenever users dared to compose an email with the phone’s mail application. Anyway, it’s all rectified now, thanks to a free software update. (If only 720p Blu-Ray playback on a certain game console could be fixed so promptly, eh!)
