Putting the ‘ding’ back into funding

Sundance 2In a real-life echo of the Orange UK ‘film board’ adverts, the first fruits of the ‘Sundance Film Festival Global Short Film Project’ have been announced at 3GSM. The project’s aim is to create ’short films designed to be viewed in a mobile environment’. It’s sponsored, of course, by mobile streaming technologists Roamware.

However, the festival seems to have had a pretty good kick-off, including as it does a short called A Slip In Time which has been put together by Little Miss Sunshine directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.

The five films are being shown exclusively at 3GSM this week with distribution to mobile audiences beginning February 15th. Visit www.sundance.org/globalshortfilms for more info.
