We’ve written about Scoopt in the past – it’s a photo agency for citizen journalists (i.e. the likes of us) which sells your pics and videos on to broadcasters and media companies for cold hard cash.
Anyway, Scoopt has just been bought by stock photography firm Getty Images. The deal means certain photos will be distributed worldwide by Getty – although the original submitters will keep the copyright – while Scoopt will also get a bunch of cash to improve its service and technology.
