Hot on the heels of the Sony Ericcson ‘Sofia’ leak, the company has announced its new W660 Walkman phone. The handset is adorned with Nokia 7373-style swirly patterns and is available in both black and the rather tart’s-boudoir-esque shade of burgundy shown right.
The W660 ships with a 512MB Memory Stick Micro card which Sony rather cheekily claims is able to hold up to 470 songs. Well, given that the average MP3 in our collections is nearer to 4MB than, er, 1.01MB, more realistically you’ll be able to squeeze around 128 tracks into the phone.
Sony has also stuffed its nifty TrackID service into the W660, which allows you to record & upload clips of unrecognised tracks to Gracenote, from where you’ll receive back the name of both track and artist.
