Ar, me hearties, that there internet be awash with rumours that Treo-maker Palm is about to be sold to the highest bidder. Apparently Nokia is a front runner in the process, with Motorola also sniffing around. Appointed bankers Morgan Stanley hope to see the deal wrapped-up this week, possibly even by tomorrow, with bidding running at around the $20 (£10) per share mark.
According to Unstrung, the Palm deal could become a battleground in the war between Motorola and Nokia, with both vying to control the higher-end of the handset market.
Now, where did I put me parrot…?

All Apple has to do is start selling a seperate motion based remote accessory and Nintendo might find the
casual games market quite a bit more crowded. Don’t know the exact specs on the AppleTV, but it can’t be
much weaker than a Wii. Apple may reach 10M “consoles” in the home before Sony and will bypass retailers
taking a cut of their profits on games, since it will all be direct downloads.
