Get Multimap maps sent to your phone by 82ASK

multimap.jpgWhenever I’m wandering around London, I generally use a dog-eared old A-Z book, or printouts from mapping websites to find my way from place to place. It’s not ideal. A new service could be the answer to my prayers though.

It’s from 82ASK, which is one of those services you text questions to and receive an answer back by text soon after. It’s teamed up with website Multimap for a new service that lets you send a text to 82275 asking for a location or landmark, and get sent a link to a WAP page showing a map, along with text directions.

It’ll cost you £1.50 per request though: £1 for 82ASK’s regular question charge, and then 50p for the map.
