Samsung reveals auto-adjusting screen

Samsung LCDKorean tech goliath Samsung yesterday revealed its latest LCD screen, a 2.1″ QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) which comes with the cool ability to automatically adjust its brightness depending on how much ambient light it is picking up. The screen can also detect changes in temperature and change its settings so that the LCD performance remains as stable as possible. Which is nice.

For the eco-concious/ highly-talkative phone users among you, there is also the good news that the screen is claimed to use 20-30% less power than similar displays. It should be being manufactured in large quantities by the second half of 2007.
