Doctor Who-ooh, Doctor Who! The BBC has announced it has done a deal with Orange, 3 and Vodafone to trial streaming some of its channels to their mobile TV services. With the exception of some sport and licensed content (insert name of your favourite US TV show here), BBC One, BBC Three and BBC News 24 will be available within the month. That’s right, folks, by the end of April.
In addition, up to eight radio channels, including Radios 1 to 4, 1Xtra, 6 Music and Asian Network, will be also on offer. Additionally, the Beeb has revamped bbc.co.uk/mobile, which is available to all phones with XHTML browsers. The WAP & PDA versions of the BBC site received a massive 84 million page views in January ‘07, and the BBC only expects that to rise - hence this massive expansion of services.

Looking forward to watching on my big Nokia N95 screen. I already subscribe to the Vodafone News and Sport TV pack. Will the BBC stuff be free to all 3G users? Should be in theory.
