According to CNET, a sales representative from Cingular (aka, ‘the new AT&T’ to all you American Idol fans out there) has let slip to them that the iPhone is set to launch on 11th June in the US. There wouldn’t normally be a lot of weight leant to such tales, were the date not also the first day of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), a major event in the fruity computer maker’s year. So the 11th does seem like a good candidate for an iPhone US street date.
Before you ask, there is still no word on a European date for iPhone, but we wouldn’t be overly surprised if Apple CEO Steve Jobs was planning to announce that at WWDC too.

when is this phone released in the UK ????
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
that what i wanna know, come on UK
Apple is still saying that we’ll get the iPhone sometime in the autumn. We’re hoping that the company will announce the actual European date when the iPhone comes out in the States — and that could be happening on 11th June.
