China Mobile subs greater than US population

China Mobile logo 200pxChina. Big place. Lot of people. Many whom quite like mobile phones. (Hey, we maybe should do this site in Mandarin…?!)

And now the country’s biggest mobile phone telco, China Mobile, has announced that it’s subscriber base rose to 310,000,000 (yep, 310 million people) by the end of February, which is more people than the entire population of the United States (which was 298m at the end 2006, according to the ever-reliable CIA).

    I think you meant 310 million people.
