iStockphoto to launch mobile wallpapers

istockphoto.jpgDoes anyone still buy wallpapers for their phone, rather than just using their handset’s camera to shoot their own? Clearly someone still prefers to pay, as stock-photo firm iStockphoto has signed a deal to launch a UK mobile store with 5,000 of its images for download as wallpapers.

The service launches later this month, before expanding to the US and other countries, as well as increasing the number of available images. No news yet on how much each wallpaper will cost though.

I’ve been trying to make my goldfish jump like that all night for my mobile camera, and you don’t want to know what happened when I tried to recreate the Sassy Girl Turning In The Street shot. But seriously, I really don’t fancy paying! ;) Oh well, back to a MySpace style photo of my feet.
