Our sister site Pocket Gamer has seen a mid-speed week for mobile game reviews, bringing four tasty morsels of portable entertainment to our table. Welcome to the second of our weekly round-ups from the world of mobile gaming.
First up was SiL (shown right), a twisting, turning 3D puzzle that asks the player to position a series of bizarre objects in various positions. It proved likable, but not lovable, earning a respectable six-out-of-ten.
Faring less well was Phoenix Wright: The First Turnabout, from Capcom, which is based on the well-regarded Nintendo DS Phoenix Wright games. With only 25 minutes of gameplay on offer, a score of five-out-of-ten seems pretty fair.
Climbing higher, with seven-out-of-ten, was Gameloft’s Ghost Recon 2: Advanced Warfighter, which takes the console warfare of parent company Ubisoft’s Xbox 360 super shooter and pops it in your pocket.
But [insert suitable football-based metaphor here] was sports trivia title Football Manager Quiz, stealing away the prize of highest rated game of the week, with a heady eight-out-of-ten. Nice work by Glu and Playbox.
