While stories emanating from US Mac sites bring both positive and negative news for iPhone wannabuyers (Apple Insider brings word of possible $50 to $100 rebates; Loop Rumors reports on potential delays due to quality concerns), one thing is for certain: if Apple’s super phone is going to hit it’s late-June release date, development work must be finished by now.
A handset as complex as the iPhone will need well over a month of final testing prior to release - particularly as any major problems found after release could cause Apple’s share price to tumble. By this stage, just two months from the US street date, it seems pretty likely that development work on the phone is complete. And if it isn’t, then those rumours of delays could well become reality…
