iPhone on-track for Europe by end of 2007

Apple store LondonDuring its financial results call, Apple also confirmed that the iPhone remains on-track for Europe during the ‘fourth quarter’ of 2007, meaning we should expect to see it in the Regent Street Apple Store (shown right) some time between October and December. Asian sales are also still on course to start in 2008 (which you’d hope, since that’s a 12-month-wide launch date).

However, AppleInsider quotes Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook ask refusing to comment on how many iPhones would be available for US launch. Cook explained that that the ramp up to full production had still not begun, making it hard to judge manufacturing volumes. Better get your skates on, guys, if you’re planning to meet that initial estimated demand of one million units…
