AppleInsider reports that sales of smartphones by US iPhone carrier Cingular are slowing ahead of the June launch of iPhone. Customers appear to be choosing to delay upgrading in order to bag Apple’s hot new handset. In Europe, however, Nokia’s N95 is doing well, with the iPhone too distant a prospect to really affect sales - although we’re sure a few European Apple fans are already contemplating their iPhone purchase with foam-flecked lips.
In other news, one analyst has upgraded the predicted price of Apple shares to $140 (they’re currently around $100), based on the upcoming iPhone, the new version of the Mac OS, and the (much-needed) refresh to the Mac computer line-up that’s coming soon. Oh, and the iPhone-a-like wi-fi, widescreen iPod that’s due before the end of ‘07.
