The first photos taken with iPhone’s camera?

iphone photo

A couple of pictures have appeared on been deleted from Flickr which, based on the EXIF data supposedly tagged to the images, have been taken using the iPhone’s camera. The EXIF tags are claimed to reveal:

iphone photo 2Camera: Apple iPhone
Aperture: f/2.8
Orientation: Rotated 90 degrees clockwise
Date and Time: 2007:04:21 10:23:45
Color Space: sRGB
Tag::EXIF::0xA500: 11/5
Compression: JPEG
Image Width: 1600 pixels
Image Height: 1200 pixels

This could all be an elaborate hoax, of course, except that the, ‘photos came from someone in the position to have access to an iPhone’, according to usually reliable site Mac Rumors. The Flickr user apparently posted the photos, then set them to private after they were first spotted, then deleted them - which seems a somewhat convoluted way of creating a hoax.

Also notable is that the EXIF data appears to record the camera’s orientation, in keeping with the iPhone’s auto-rotating display.

    If the picture is real, it could be using the new technology from Kodak. Kodak has figured out a way to allow additional light into the lense producing much higher resolution photos, and eb=ven adjusting for background light variations.

    Maybe?
