Reuters reports that Motorola CEO Ed Zander told a Silicon Valley conference that one of the company’s new handsets to be revealed next Tuesday will be a ‘media monster’. Clearly lining-up to do battle with Apple’s iPhone, Zander claimed that the new Motorola will be able to play 30 frames-per-second from new ’secure’ (uh huh) SD cards. The new cards are the result of working with an un-named partner to fit full-length movies on the SD format.
The new device will initially be available in Europe, Zander said, because of more widely available 3G networking. And, we reckon, because the iPhone launches in the US first, meaning Motorola can focus on launching its new phones in Europe with one less competitor at the top-end of the market.

Hmm, this could be interesting, let’s hope it has some graphical horsepower in there for more than just streaming over the video (for GAMES! Muhaha). Bit cheeky tagging this one iPhone though, surely? I bet the iPhone will kill those bees too, yaknow
