Nokia’s new 8600: hot or not?

Nokia 8600Reaction around the internet to Nokia’s as-yet unannounced 8600 has been a little mixed. Currently leaked/ rumoured specs are that it’ll be a Series 40 handset with a two-megapixel camera and a 16 million-colour QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) screen.

Given how tiny it looks to be (click here to see it compared next to an old Nokia… which we can’t remember the model number for…), we’re pretty impressed that Nokia has managed to squeeze so much into the design.

The biggest change we’d ask for is an upgrade in operating system, to Series 60, so that the 8600 has proper smartphone capabilities. But what are your thoughts…?

No way, its the classic dummy Nokia phone, its more than obviously if you chk the control keys and the idle screen… . . .

The picture here is obviously a render, but if you click the link in the story to the live shots (of which we’ve posted just a few of the many out there), you’ll see that someone would have to have gone to a lot of trouble to fake this.
