Okay, so it might have recently caused a couple of issues for Chinese Windows XP users, but Symantec is soldiering on regardless with the announcement of a new suite of security tools for Windows Mobile.
The new software will include antivirus, antispam, firewall, and data encryption capabilities to protect data secure even if your WM device is lost/ pinched. Coming in two flavours, Norton Mobile Security for Smartphones priced at $49.95 (£25-ish) and administrator-friendly Symantec Mobile Security 5.0 at $79.95 (£40-ish), the new packages will be available from 29th May. Oh, and there’s a similarly-specced updated to Symantec’s Symbian software due in around six months.
