We just can’t seem to stop unearthing new(ish) VoIP applications for mobile phones just now. The latest to make its presence felt is Yeigo.
As far as we can tell, Yeigo is a fairly straight up stand alone mobile VoIP application that uses your mobile’s Wi-Fi or 3G connection to link you with other Yeigo users who you can then speak to for free.
Not only that, but the package also allows you to chat to GoogleTalk, MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ and Jabber users for free too. The software includes free instant messaging as well as the ability to send SMS messages for up to 90% less than with a typical mobile carrier.
The program is free and available for Symbian and Windows Mobile equipped handsets. As always, be sure you are sporting an unlimited data plan and that your carrier allows VoIP apps before you fire it up.
