We’re not sure about the inspiration behind this design choice, but for some unknown reason LG’s new L704i phones are chocolate-themed. There’s the Black Chocolate model, the White Chocolate model and, um, the Wine Chocolate model. (That last one was obviously because there’s no such thing as red chocolate, but LG wanted to make a red phone and wouldn’t drop its Chocolate theme.) Anyway, enough about confectionery.
The L704i was announced by NTT DoCoMo in Japan this week, which is where it will be on sale as of October. It has a 3-megapixel camera, a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT display, and capacity for running media from 2GB microSD cards. Best of all, though, it has a red LED touchpad, which looks very daftpunk. And as it runs on NTT’s FOMA service, the L704i provides decent download speeds of 3.6Mbps. All in all, it’s quite natty.
