Fly Mobile strikes prepay gold with the SL600 slider

SL600.jpgFly Mobile is a UK handset manufacturer shaking up the market with some decent feature-rich handsets at cheaper-than-chips prices. Its profile in the UK is still marginal at present but it has already ripped up a storm in Russia, selling over 1.2-million handsets.

Fly Mobile has now turned its attention to Blighty and in particular the prepay market having already released a pink version of the £50 SL500 slider in Argos and teamed up with Orange to network brand the phone as the TR1 (this sells for £40 in Orange retail). The specs are decent for its ranking – 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD card slot, Bluetooth and built in music player – but its successor, the SL600, ups the ante further but keeps the price cool.

Woolworths is selling this compact sleek slider for just £60 on Vodafone and for the outlay you get features unprecedented at this price level. A two-megapixel snapper gets the ball rolling along with microSD card slot, 262,000 colour display, Bluetooth, built in music player plus the addition of a built-in FM radio and the ability to record from the radio.

You’ll agree this is a sweet line-up for just £60 but Pocket Picks has handled the phone and can also report it’s expertly built, nicely designed with a slick slider action. Keep your eye on Fly Mobile because they have even better handset coming out at criminally affordable prepay prices.

if your sl500i (TR1) developes a fault on the screen dont return it to a franchised Orange outlet because the way they test for screen damage is to apply extreme pressure to the screen causing irepreble damage and they will then tell you that the screen must have been cracked therefore it invalidates your guarentee this has happened to me, other than that problem this is a remarkable phone and would like to recommend it to anyone wanting a small compact
