With monsoon season now in full swing the thought of braving a three-day music festival under such treacherous conditions doesn’t seem quite that appealing. Still if you’re brave enough to pitch a tent in a muddy quagmire (hey you could get lucky with the weather!) the Carling Weekend in Reading and Leeds between 24^th-26^th August looks worth a punt with a pretty decent line-up of bands.

To coincide with this festival Nokia has developed a Java-based Mobile Festival Guide to get you through the weekend unscathed. It shows all the stage times, maps to both sites, locations of first aid areas and you can customise your own personal festival schedule to including your favourite bands. Best of the lot is the alerts telling you about changes in stage times while you are privy to exclusive content and compos.
