If you love mobile phones and spend your free time creeping about your house in a grey suit and matching headband then this might just make you faint. At Konami’s recent party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the massive Metal Gear Solid gaming franchise, Sony Ericsson was in tow showing off a new MGS-themed W53s handset.
Launching alongside the forthcoming mobile version of the game (which looks mighty impressive) the phone will come preloaded with the game and will be available in a selection of themed covers featuring stylish artwork from the series.
Unfortunately the mobile version of MGS hasn’t even been announced for release outside of Japan (where KDDI is carrying the device) so we have little hope of seeing this handset on these shores. Never mind, a ringing mobile can be inconvenient when attempting a stealthy infiltration of a well guarded complex anyway (oh, who are we kidding, we want one of these badly).
