Taiwan’s Phone Daily has scored some major, major scoopage by getting hold of a (non-functioning) pre-production sample of Nokia’s top-of-the-line music player, the N81, and snapping it to death. Thought to feature 8GB of storage, plus a QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) screen, 2MP camera, and ‘proper’ 3.5mm headphone jack, the N81 has previously been spotted in render and blur-o-vision form. This time, however, Phone Daily has shot the N81 from all angles in crystal-clear pics. Hit the jump to see a lot, lot more.
From the looks of things, the N81 has stereo speakers inside those grey grilles on either side of the handset:

This phone is all about music — check out the dedicated playback keys on the front — but what does the long, chrome button do?

The camera looks to function similarly to many other new phones, with a dedicated shutter key that’s operated while you hold the phone side-on.

Check out the iPod-like sliding unlock switch next to the headphone socket:

It’s a simple looking handset, but we think the design works.

Note the USB socket on the bottom:

Here it is next to a Nokia N80 for comparison:
