Or your iPod or laptop, as it happens. One of the coolest events in the mobile entertainment world, the Portable Film Festival, has just kicked-off its 2007 website. Featuring 150 short films across five categories (Short Film, Music Video, Look At Me, First Hand Capture and Media Achiever), the PFF is all about promoting the talents of independent film makers through the power of mobile and online video.
That means we get 150 free, fresh and funky short films to enjoy online or download to our mobile devices (in either M4A/ MP4 or 3GP flavours), and — just as importantly — to take part in the online voting for the winner of each category. The votes will be finally tallied at the end of August, with the highest-ranked clip in each category winning a ‘Hopper’ award.
We reckon the PFF is a fantastic event and will be running updates as the month progresses. Head over to the Portable Film Festival site now to check things out.
