And we thought LG was going down the classy route with the LG Shine KE970 after it recently announced a rather stylish black titanium version. Surely in name of good taste, this classy metal-hewn slider is impervious to the network and manufacturer’s obsession with spray painting top sellling handsets every colour of the rainbow. Is nothing sacred? Obviously not, because Orange in the UK has bagged the exclusive to sell the pink LG Shine from next month. Perhaps we shouldn’t be that surprised because LG did bastardise the gorgeous KG800 Chocolate phone and give it a lick of garish pink paint.
Also in line for a colour makeover is the Nokia 6300. This is one of my handset of the year and you will soon be able to enjoy this slimline candybar in tasteful white (pictured), courtesy of The Carphone Warehouse exclusive and, red, although we’re still not entirely sure which network has won the rights to sell this crimson version.
