Fly Mobile is a UK based handset manufacturer who are currently tearing up the the Russian and Ukrainian market. Recently Pocket Picks brought you news of its SL600 slider, a £60 prepay handset with a feature set unprecendented at this level and subsequently snapped up by Vodafone. Well if you thought this was a bargain then think again daddio, because Fly Mobile is rumoured to be preparing another sub £100 slider model, this time complete with a touch-screen.
Pocket Picks spotted the SX210 over on the Russian arm of its website and our spies on the ground tell us speculation is rife that Fly Mobile will launch this handset over here in Blighty for around the £70-£80 mark, as the SL100. It looks like another slinky Samsung-inspired slider and apart from the pen-driven QVGA-quality touch-screen, the GPRS-enabled SL100 has a mighty feature set considering the asking the price. This includes a two-megapixel snapper, built-in music player with support for Stereo Bluetooh, FM radio, email capabilities, microSD card slot, WAP browser, TV-out and video playback. You have to admit this line-up is pretty impressive and surely it’s only a matter of time before a UK network has the SL100 on its handset roster.
