Nokia really has stepped up to the design plate with its recent handsets. The 8600 Luna and Prism series phones are testament to the Finnish manufacturer’s newfound creative vim and its latest handset, the 6555, is another elegant and luxiry model to join the likes of the Luna and 8800 Sirocco.
As always, Nokia’s press release is incredible vague so we’re light on feature info. We do know the 6555 is 3G clamshell with a recessed outer hinge that creates a ’seamless line’ when opened and an analogue clock front display that reaffirms its sophisticated manner (coz us plebs need a digital clock to tell the time!)
Elsewhere this quad-band ‘fold’ phone flaunts a QVGA-quality, 16-million colour display, 30MB of internal memory with support from a microSD card slot and a camera with 6x digital zoom. This snapper has yet to be allocated any megapixels but we’re guessing it will be around the two million mark. The 6555 is schedule for release as soon as next month.
