Vodafone isn’t the only UK network signing up the services of LG’s new five-megapixel handset, the KU990 ‘NYX’. Rival operator 3 has added the phone to its roster with a September launch mooted and a high street appearance scheduled for October.
If you don’t know already, the KU990 is essentially a souped-up Prada phone with a large three-inch touch-screen, five-megapixel snapper with autofocus and Xenon flash, super-fast HSDPA download speeds and the ability to capture video in VGA quality at 120 frames-per-second, unprecedented at mobile phone level. You also get other trimmings like support for Stereo Bluetooth, built-in FM radio and music player and microSD card slot for storage.
