To coincide with the Holy Month of Ramadan, Nokia has introudced a N73 Special Edition exclusive to the Middle East and North African markets. Apart from sporting a rather fetching new white finish, this N73 is stuffed to the gills with pre-loaded apps to aid Islamic worshipers during this spiritual period.
For starters, you get a Hijri calendar so you know exactly when Islamic Holy days are celebrated every year, step-by-step descriptions of the Hajj and Umrah annual pilgrimages to Mecca and the rules for fasting during Ramadan. Other useful apps include a collection of Azkar prayers for morning and evening time and a unqiue organiser with alarms alerting you to your five-a-day prayer schedule.
Lastly, you also receive two Islamic e-books and a Universal Dictionary application which supports English, Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and French languages. All these apps are installed on a supplied 2GB microSD card plus you also get a leather pouch to keep your handset in good nick.
Of course, let’s not forget this 3G-enabled Symbian Series 60 smartphone also harbours a Carl Zeiss 3.2-megapixel camera lens with autofocus, built-in music player and a large 2.4-inch QVGA colour screen.

This is kinda weird release from Nokia.
Just seems like a smart marketing move to us.
Hey and wheres the bomb inside? Would be much easier to kill some innosecent people!
A very good step by Nokia. Nice marketing attraction for Muslim buyers. It will be very good if Nokia can relase a software upgrade that inculdes these features so people like me who have N73 without these features can upgrade there mobiles.
