There we were thinking it was going to be a quiet Bank Holiday Monday morning, and Nokia rocks up with a big heap of gizmos to keep everyone entertained. Styled, Nokia says, to match the sleek lines of its Nseries handsets, this new batch of accessories has some rather tasty numbers, including the new BH903 stereo Bluetooth headset shown above. With an OLED display, music playback controls, compatibility with loads of Bluetooth profiles, the BH903’s might cost €200 (£135) plus tax, but they’re a fine looking piece of kit.

Next out of the gate comes the BH902 Bluetooth ear piece, which weighs in at 18.5 grams — which is almost three-times the weight of the iPhone headset. However, the reason for some of that extra heft is because the BH902 features an external OLED screen, which, rather pointlessly, shows you when you’ve received a text message. At €115 (£78) plus tax, it’s not exactly cheap, either.

Above are Nokia’s new MD-7W Bluetooth stereo speakers, created in conjunction, it says here, with ‘D&M Premium Sound Solutions’. This meant bugger all to us until we Googled it and discovered that D&M owns the Denon and Marantz audio brands. Ah, now we’re interested!
Okay, so the MD-7W’s have ‘3D stereo widening sound and dynamic bass control’, ‘magnetic attachments for easy portability’ and are priced at €130 (£88) plus tax… So they’d better have incredible sound because that’s a lot of cash for a little set of speakers. They’re not portable, but the metal-cased Acoustic Energy Aego M speakers are about £100 a set and sound absolutely fantastic — Nokia better be sure the 7Ws can do the business.
