29th August is was supposed to be a major PR day for Nokia. But for weeks now we’ve known about the revised, black N95 with 8GB of storage (looking nice on the right there and still, possibly, with a 480 x 640 screen), and we knew the N81 was due too.
The music-themed announcement that’s happening in London today is likely to bring news of Nokia’s iTunes competitor — which has also been heavily rumoured. And to back up the new service, Nokia had three new Xpress Music phones up its sleeves as well… But now photos of those, the N95, and the N81 have been leaked to Chinese site IT.com.cn. To see the shots all, hit the jump and scroll, scroll, scroll. Nokia’s PR team; our thoughts are with you…
First up, the revised N95. The black case looks really good — we think it shifts the N95’s image upmarket.

Note the lack of the lens cover, due to the inclusion of a larger battery pack.

Now for the N81, which we thought would be music focused but there’s a lot of emphasis on gaming in the pictures. Check out the scrolling shoot ‘em up on the screen:

Bit of web browsing going on here:

More gaming… So the N81 seems likely to be at the vanguard of Nokia’s all-new N-Gage initiative.

Looks like a really nice sized phone, especially considering the features it packs — including 8GB of on-board storage.

Okay, this post is getting long enough… We’ll do the Xpress Music phones in a separate piece.
