A misguided maths teacher in Texas has recently come under fire for handing out a questionable homework assignment. By misguided we mean stupid and by questionable we mean sorta inappropriate, not group therapy inducing inappropriate, just not the sort of thing mum and dad expect little Johnny and Jane to be learning at school.
The homework assignment consisted of a list of text message abbreviations that were to be decoded. Some of the abbreviations included things like ‘Nude in Front of the Computer’ and ‘Keeping Parents Clueless’. Naturally several parents are pretty peeved about their 12 year old being taught this kind of thing and have called for the teacher to be removed.
Maths really has changed since we were at school.
