Nokia’s new E51 may come dressed in a business suit, but beneath its sombre Clark Kent exterior beats a superhero’s heart. Read: 11g wi-fi, 3.6Mbit HSDPA, GSM and WCDMA, support for micros of the USB and SD varieties, plus tons of email connectivity and suchlike. The screen may ‘only’ be QVGA and the camera two-megapixel, but if you’re a BlackBerry-phobic business type on the go the E51 could be a your weapon of choice.
First among the UK operators to offer the E51 appears to be T-Mobile, with the Nokia having just appeared on its ‘Coming Soon’ pages. No word on pricing as yet, but it’s likely to be in the ‘free on contracts over £40 a month’ category, will be available to both business and personal users later this month.
