Christian O’Connell stars in O2’s new ‘interactive comedy’ for your mobile

O2 OConnellPicking up the format of UK TV shows such as ‘Have I Got News for You’ and ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’, O2’s new mobile entertainment show, If An Alien Came To Earth, has just been launched. Starring radio celeb Christian O’Connell, the show is available in two-minute segments that can either be viewed ‘exclusively’ on your mobile or, er, ‘exclusively’ on O2’s website. Could someone just pass the dictionary…?

If An Alien Came To Earth ‘aims to reach a consensus on how best to represent planet Earth to a visitor from outer space, in this case a rather obscure looking creature with oven mitts for hands’. Not a terrible premise, but we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether or not it works — click here for O2’s website.

Oh, and what’s the ‘interactive’ bit about? Apparently there’s a forum you can ‘put forward opinions on topics raised and suggestions for future discussions on the show’. You can feel the searing heat of entertainment technology right there.
