Apple has updated its iTunes Plus service bringing its catalogue of DRM free songs up to 2 million in number, each available for the cut down price of 99 cents. This effectively makes iTunes Plus the biggest DRM free library in the world which could certainly undermine several mobile specific music services that have sprung up over the last couple of years.
Great news for iPhone users who want to be able to use their songs on another device but those with MP3 players in their now ageing handsets will probably feel the benefit even more. No word on any details of how this will work over here in Europe but as always, as soon as we know, we’ll bring you the details.
