ShoZu, the mobile social networking site is getting all media on us. It has added media delivery features to its service, letting users send Flickr pictures and YouTube videos direct to handsets using automatic content feeds.
Previously Shozu users posted photos, videos and text to the site of their choice and then friends went online to view them. Now, Shozu can automatically push the content direct to people’s handsets without them having to access the internet.
Shozu users can now request that all Flickr photos posted by friends be sent direct to their mobile as they’re published, with no download times. Similarly, Shozu users can now also request to receive YouTube’s ‘Featured’, ‘Mobile’ and ‘Most Views’ videos to be fed directly to their mobile with up to 10 clips in each feed. Selected videos are then streamed onto the handset.
For those with unlimited mobile data plans, this is great news. If you pay for data as you use it, Shozu will let you decide weekly limits on data delivery - 1MB will typically allow for 100 photos or video thumbnails.
