We all have to balance the stresses of modern life - work, play, family and social life - but according to Nokia women are better at multi-tasking than men.

The Nokia survey, conducted through Nokia.com, is the latest in its ongoing program of finding out how and why we use our mobiles so it can make products more people will buy.

The gist of Nokia’s latest survey was that we don’t simply talk on our phones but we also go shopping, cook, browse the internet and put on make-up (Obviously not ALL at the same time). Yet incredibly, half of people think they’re still focusing on their mobile while all this is going on.

Unsurprisingly, 80 percent of the 5,000 survey respondents claimed that a mobile phone helps them achieve a work-life balance, while two-thirds claimed they’d be less productive without it. Well, they would if they’re being questioned by Nokia wouldn’t they?

Here’s a quick rundown of the results of the survey:

• 62% of people do two or three things while talking on their mobile
• 75% of women prepare food while using their phone
• 50% put on make-up

But the most interesting finding was that the most fun activity people can do while on their mobile was ‘being in bedâ’. Nokia was coy about how people were having fun, but we can only imagine!
