Just a quick note to any Nokia fanatics out there to say that it looks like the Nokia N96 might be launching in August. The Carphone Warehouse has the device listed as ‘Coming Soon!’ for August 08, though no tariffs or other details are listed.
The August 08 launch window may be somewhat speculative on The Carphone Warehouse’s part but if that is the case, it certainly isn’t an unreasonable guess. Either way, it looks as though the end of 2008 will be a great time for those either fresh in the market, or with a contract about to expire as not only is the N96 on the way, but Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 is due to release around then too.
And there is always that faint hope of a 3G iPhone but perhaps that is a dream too far for 2008.

Although I am an Xperia X1 fan, I am looking forward to checking the N96 too. This looks like another great year for high end smart phones…
