Ok folks the wait is just about over. Apple’s WWDC is opening this Monday and arriving with it should be a firm show stopping confirmation of the 3G iPhone complete with Steve Jobs pulling all of his best crowd pleasing moves to win over a largely already won over audience.
Besides the announcement of the handset and what it contains (3G and GPS being top of the list of changes) we expect that there will probably be some less expected reveals about new functions that will make owners of the original iPhone spit some white hot jealousy. But what could those be? Well we reckon that potential surprise appearances could come in the form of iChat compatibility and maybe something interesting involving the .Mac service. Having just bought the new trademark Mobile Me, speculation is rife about what the rebranding of the .Mac service could mean for the next iPhone or iPhone 2.0 as many are calling it.
Built in mobile blogging functionality? Some sort of social network? Apple’s own push email client? Who knows, but we only have one more weekend to wait until we can find out so go and rent 48 hrs worth of movies from the iTunes Store or something to pass the time.
