Ooh, I do love a good neologism. Especially a really unwieldy compound word that suggests a bucket full of concepts being stirred with a trowel.
Geomicroblogging is one such slice of prime coinage. Spotted today over at Slashdot, the term is unlikely to find much of a foothold but the idea behind it just might.
Combining geolocation ( e.g. GPS or cell triangulation) and microblogging (like Twitter, Tumblr or any of the hundred or so other microblog sites) is now a real and convenient possibility with today’s mobile phones.
The question is, does anyone want to keep the world posted on the exact coordinates of their most recent kebab?
