According to the both Phones4u and Dialaphone, LG’s fantastic looking 8 megapixel full touchscreen handset, the Renoir, should be available to buy now.
The device was pencilled in for release on October 15th (yesterday) and is free on a £30 a month contract. Which is quite a bargain considering it has a feature set that can go toe to toe with the iPhone in almost every department.
The handset is essentially a camera focussed upgrade to the massively successful LG Viewty and sports wifi, GPS, TV out and Dolby sound. There’s no 3G chest beating to speak of but the focus here is really on the camera and the Renoir has got some serious grapes in that department.
Besides all those megapixels there’s face detection, a digital image stabilizer, Xenon flash and a razor sharp Schneider-Kreuznach lens. Still not convinced? Hit the jump to see for more sexy pics of the device.
