Fancy a T-Mobile G1? Course you do, and all you need to do is wait for another couple of weeks for it as T-Mobile has announced that it will be available from October 30th. The demand for the device has been rabid in the US, so chances are, the phone will sell like warm sweet baked goods when they hit the shelves here.
Seeing as it’s the first Android based handset, the G1 is landing just in time to become the hot ticket for Christmas when it will be jostling with the iPhone and maybe even the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for a place under the tree.
A whopping 25,000 UK consumers have registered interest in the device already. Not all of them will translate into day one sales, but it’s likely that a huge chunk of the initial stocks will disappear in a flash.
T-Mobile will be offering the handset for free on a £40 a month contract, including unlimited fast mobile internet browsing on the Combi and Flex tariffs. The Combi tariff will offer 800 minutes and unlimited texts while Flext tariff gives up to 1,250 minutes or up to 2,500 texts or any mix of the two. Decisions, decisions. At least you have two weeks to make up your mind.
