Fresh from the floor at CeBIT Nokia has announced the 6124 Classic a compact multimedia and high speed Internet capable handset that, interestingly, will be carrier locked to Vodafone.
The idea is that Vodafone specific online services will be seamlessly integrated with the design in order for the whole suite package to feel as silky smooth as possible. Featuring superior data rates with 3G broadband (download speeds will be up to 10 times faster than competing 3G networks apparently), a large 2.0″ display and a 2 megapixel camera with flash and panorama mode the 6124 is compelling proof that the future is bright for mid-spec Nokia handsets.
Alongside the slick internet functionality the device is also set to include all of the usual bells and whistles such as an MP3 player and video playback sporting a memory card slot for up to 8GB to rise to the task. The 6124 Classic will be launching sometime during early summer.
