Luckily, there are places like Battersea Dogs & Cats Home which is run by people who genuinely live up to the saying and have recently created a mobile portal called DOGMOB to reach out to like minded individuals.
The portal allows you to adopt a dog in exchange for mobile content. You don’t actually have to come into contact with the down on its luck K9 however, as the scheme is really about raising money and awareness for the dogs that are seeking real life adoption.
Adopting a dog costs £3 which will also get you an animated screensaver, wallpaper, certificate, a thank you video and a barking ringtone. So if you are a dog lover and fancy helping out, just head over to the website, find a dog you want to adopt and text its name to 80022. And don’t worry cat lovers; apparently CATMOB is on its way.
